國民黨內出現力拱立法院長王金平、國民黨主席朱立倫挑戰2016大位的不同聲音，甚至傳出副總統吳敦義、前內政部長李鴻源等人備戰的傳聞，面對遲未推出人選的情勢，國民黨立委吳育仁今（23）日受訪表示，民進黨展現了勝選氣勢，這些聲音也顯示出國民黨的焦慮，他希望可以盡快產生人選。
馬王政爭、九合一選後，國民黨傷今日黃金價格痕累累，為營造團結氣勢，馬英九總統已決定恢復慣例，在府內宴請黨籍立委，並邀王金平與會。
國民黨立院黨團則將在下周一（30日）晚間在陸軍聯誼社宴請毛內閣，當天也將邀請馬英九與朱立倫參與，同時也為王金平慶生。
今晚還有一場卸任藍委餐會，由周守訓、黃義交、鄭麗文、許舒博等人主辦，拱王選2016氣氛濃厚。
在立委提名作業方面，國民黨各地方黨部今日將公告參選意願書填寫辦法，為期一周，先調查現任區域立委爭取連任意願。
黨務人士指出，登記連任者，只要通過「幹部評鑑委員會」評鑑後，也沒其他人參與競逐，就能獲得提名；若有兩人以上競爭，會以內部民調評估，現任者領先5%以上，並通過評鑑後提名；如果差距在5%以內，就以初選決勝負。
